  June 1, 2000 - I shot this with my old Mavica, in the bedroom at our former apartment. Probably the first mirror photo I ever took, and still one of my favourites. November 2, 2000 - Part of a set of the last self-portraits I took at our apartment; I look strangely 'Islandic' in these. January 27, 2003, 11:19 AM - On vacation in St. John, I was wearing my Kona coffee shirt to show my loyalty to Hawaii. Our rented Jeep had a smashed side-view mirror. February 5, 2003 - I took this in Dean's shaving mirror while doing some cleaning and listening to music on my Yepp. It overlaps with his regular bathroom mirror, so you can see reflections in both. February 5, 2001 - One of many snows in a very snowy winter. I'd just finished digging out my completely buried New Beetle the day after a blizzard. December 4, 2001, 5:37 PM - The fading breaths of 'probably the most beautiful thing I have seen in my entire life,' reflected behind me on the side of my car.  
  September 15, 2002 - I took this in the wall-sized mirror in the living room at our timeshare in Hawaii, exhausted after a day of snorkeling and playing hard at Makalawena beach. It was time to go to dinner, and I was lounging around and being narcissistic while waiting for Dean to finish up with something on his laptop. I liked how I looked stretched out on the couch, so I snapped a photo. March 18, 2002 - Crocuses were out, but it was 'snowing like crazy--impossible to see where you're going, just smeary wet streaks on the car windows, everything grey and white and silver.' March 18, 2002 - Taken in my lighted makeup mirror. This photo looks like Anti-Linear Brain. September 14, 2002 - It was our first full day in Hawaii, and we'd just come back from dinner at the Pahu I'a, my favourite restaurant. I took this photo in the mirrored closet doors outside my bathroom, with the mirror of the dressing-table/sink behind me. August 26, 2000 - Shot during our 'Band Tour', in Saugerties, New York. I was out of the car taking photos of Big Pink, and wanted a picture of myself on Parnassus Lane, so I snapped one in the side mirror. November 27, 2002, 3:33 AM - Our first snow of the winter, and I went outside at 3 AM to watch it falling. This was back indoors, in the garage mirror, very pleased, with snow in my hair. I like how the gardening tools look hanging from Dean's board with holes, in back of me. November 27, 2002 - The next afternoon. Caught my happy semi-transparent reflection in the side of my car, snow-covered trees looking more solid than I did.
