They have Otis Spunkmeyer freshly-baked soft warm chocolate chip cookies at the Atlantic FBO at Newport News! Also, a salad remains the perfect temperatute (this time of year at least) when stored for 3 hours in a Tango tail.
We flew VFR for the first leg and listened to two Christmas CDs on my iPod (Winter Wonderland and Bob). We both think Bob needs Ludens but I think he sounds great anyway. Nice winds, nice stars (our old pal Orion! ), nice shiny half-moon resting on his back, and nice nice flight.

Woo hoo! Had some last-minute stuff to mail, and today's mail was in the mailbox! I got TWO new cards (Susie [with lightsaber duel stamp!] and Stevia Tea Man!). Dean only got one (plus a second card from his newspaper guy, but that doesn't count). Here's today's updated graph. The next one won't be 'til after Christmas, so all the cards (and the verdict) will be in.

Still losing badly. Here's yesterday's graph. Not sure if the mail will come before we leave today.

Oh, here are some photos from the snowstorm yesterday: 1) Our road and the gorgeous sky that was sunsetting when we ventured out to dig out my car, B) The Beag (as you can see, we only got about 6 inches... but it was all different heights in various locations, from the driftings), 3) This one's my favorite. Trees and sky!

Aaaaaagh. Dean's new card today? "Your Newspaper Carrier." What the heck!!! And, I thought I got a new card, but noooooooooooo, it said on it, "P.S. This is not your official card." Thanks loads, FRIEND. (You know who you are.) I put it on display with our cards anyway, but no points for me. *bangs head on wall*
BTW, I had a really nice visit with said friend today in Colchester, where they had a much more decent amount of snow than here. (Two feet!) I love watching Alex use his imagination. It reminds me how much I adored playing with my Beezers and building things with American Bricks. And it was a pleasant, zoomy drive, via Glastonbury. (I mostly avoided using my left arm, since not using it over the weekend seems to have helped it quite a bit, and I was unable to get an appointment with the PT guy before we have to leave for Christmas. So my arm will have to fend for itself.) I was going to post on Facebook that I visited my only Connecticut friend (since she referred to me as her first Connecticut friend) but then I decided that would sound too pathetic, even though I like it that way. After all, ALB readers know I'm a recluse, but the Facebook people might just think I'm a loser. ;-)
I have been really tired for the past couple of days, and I don't like it at all. I wanted to finally post about last weekend (NC surprise trip) yesterday, but I didn't have the energy. Now when the heck am I going to do it? Grrrr.
Packing, tomorrow! While listening to Christmas music. ♥
I want a bottle of Voss sparkling water with really great lemon.

Good grief, it is INSANELY gusty!

Buttonholes = ♥!
Also, Dean has clear hole reinforcers in his awesome obsolete office supplies cabinet! Hole reinforcers at all = ♥, but clear just blows my mind. My accidentally poorly-aimed hole punching job is saved!
BTW, I'm nametagging and decorating presents, just for a little context, not that you actually need any.
