All right, we finally watched the Battlestar Galactica finale. And yep, I managed to remain spoiler-free all this time. I broke out my special Baltar wine for our party, the Cardinal Zin June gave me for Christmas two years ago (it says on the label that it goes well with sloth!). Forums time. I think I have a crown-of-thorns thorn splinter in my finger.

I got this weird soap at Whole Foods because it has such an intriguing (and strangely familiar) smell, and I just now finally figured out what it reminds me of. Lapsang-souchong!! It's very intense.

Dean and I rigged up speakers inside the CD shelf behind my chaise so I can use my iPod as a wakeup device in the morning. (I made a Wake Up! playlist and used the cool new alarm feature so it starts playing fifteen minutes before I actually want to get up. When I was in Hawaii, my beside table had an iHome alarm clock, and I noticed my iPod prevents me from drifting back to sleep after I initially wake up.) This morning after the playlist was over, it started playing random Bob songs. I have no idea what they had in common or why it was choosing them, but it sure is cool to hear "Blind Willie McTell" when you're still muddle-headed.

[Edit: Dean says the iPod uses a "horribleness algorithm" to choose songs so I'll want to get out of bed and get away from them. Ha ha.]

It's 69°. Niiiiiiice. Sunny & new. Used my new orange KTA bag at Whole. Bought a scrawny New Zealand passionfruit for $1.99.

Woah, Bob's coming out with a new album? I am so out of the loop.

ThursdayOkay, Themetime Famous People isn't my favourite episode, but that laugh at the end of the phone call segment is so great I rewound and listened to it three times.

Mmmm, Kona Mountain Coffee aeropress...

Our final package-to-selves didn't come yet (the others were all waiting on Monday!) but I had a little bit left over in the sample-sized KMC I'd bought to test out the press, and had crammed it into the box with the press, so I used that. Just enough for one cup! There's more Kona Mountain Coffee in the big still-in-the-mail box.

It's colder today, but I wore my pink-and-orange Roxy beater with my orange arm warmers. Last night when we flew to New Hampshire, I wore my green arm warmers with my bright peach short-sleeved sweater and bright deep pink long-sleeved zippy one. I looked like a tulip (my hands were the stem). Weird, because I didn't wear bright/crazy arm warmer combos at all, in the winter! Spring spring spring.

Frozen lakes and snow in the woods in New Hampshire. Connecticut river not very flooded yet. Trees near Brainard look brown but slightly fluffy, like they're yawning and stretching for spring.

It's so beautiful here. So so so so beautiful. 59°. Sunny, fresh, sparkling new. There's nothing like Connecticut in spring.

Connecticut is so pretty. I don't know, it just is. (Even though almost everything is still brown and there are dirty melting snow piles in the parking lots.) The sky is clear blue and thick-grey-cloudy mixed, and deep purple crocuses and mini-iris are in bloom under the dogwood tree, which is covered in tiny just-starting buds. I'm in an insanely good mood. Smiling at people. Listening to StreetMapTime Radio Hour (great episode) and whistling. At Shaws', Iz' version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" played on the soundsystem! Haha!

Penultimate RDM. "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" is so beautiful, delicate, crisp and foggy at the same time. Lovely day for the drive home. Low, low clouds, no glary sun. Moisty-soft grey, relaxed but alert. Outdoorsing-esque. But only the willows and a few random redbuds are awake. SELoftheL moves along like the rhythm of the limousine on the road. Gentle grey, spring to come.

Weird!!! Thunder and lightning and sudden-onset hard rain! LOUD, too!

Wow, I haven't worn pants in a whole month. (That's trousers, if you're British...)

The T.T. Collars were great! So were my arm warmers and tights w/brown knit skirt. Good travel outfit. I actually dozed around on both flights. Took 1½ blues and listened to the same This American Life show twice (zzzzz). I have no idea what it was about, but the droning was good to bore me up. Best double-decker flight ever! We didn't even watch any movies.
